interesting and sensitive topic......neatly written
Every person has a different story. In organizations, some discriminate, some dont, those who feel bad about anything may say that they face discrimination....so all in all there is always another side of the coin
You know what? I was going to do a blog post like this. In fact I might still do - 2) is my biggest bug-bear - the fact that you have taken years to train up seems to be forgotten when you quote. Plus there's India with their silly £0.01 per hour rates. Still enough ranting, I may do that blog after all Mark ;)
As much as we would like to think that discrimination does not exist in the workplace, it totally does! Whether employers mean to or not, they treat each employee differently. This is because each person is different. If employees were like company pens-all the same shape, size, and color-then discrimination may no longer be a factor. But when you no longer have a set of uniform pens, you are bound to have a favorite pen. Likewise, employers always have a favorite employee, ones they would never let go, and ones they treat more harshly or more delcately. Discrimination is innate, but I'm not saying that makes it right. I just agree with you-discrimination still exists!
